本書為長谷川武次郎《日本昔話》系列德文版，由 Hedwig Schiplock 翻譯、小林永濯繪製彩色木版插圖，共18葉。全書以日本傳統縮緬紙（chirimen-gami）印製，約1902–1911年間發行。這類作品專為歐美市場出版，是明治時期向西方介紹日本童話與版畫藝術的代表性出版物，而德文版本較英文版更少見。
This German edition of Hasegawa Takejirō’s celebrated Japanese Fairy Tale Series features colour woodblock illustrations by Kobayashi Eitaku and is printed on traditional Japanese crepe paper (chirimen-gami). Issued around 1902–1911 for the European market, it is a scarce example of Meiji-era Japanese export publishing, with German editions considerably rarer than their English counterparts.
