Three films. One night. A journey through desire, intimacy, politics, and imagination.
Since 2020, filmmaker Popo Fan has been collaborating with renowned sex-positive filmmaker Erika Lust and her platform XConfessions, creating works that explore sexuality through science fiction, comedy, romance, and experimental storytelling.
For this special screening at bóbó , three of Popo Fan’s films will be presented together for the first time as a marathon of desire:

A reflection on communication beyond spoken language — exploring touch, gesture, and the body itself as sites of meaning-making between people.
About the Program
These three films create dense visual and conceptual worlds, each exploring the philosophical possibilities of explicit cinema.
For Popo Fan, the future is porn — and porn today can change the future.
Presented together for the first time, the three works invite us into a space where desire can be philosophical; where sex can be political, artistic, sensual, and beautiful; and where explicit representation can become a language of resistance, intimacy, and imagination.
💬 Screening + Conversation with Popo Fan
Following the screening, Popo Fan will join the audience for an open conversation about the making of the films and the ideas behind them.
The discussion will include behind-the-scenes experiences from collaborations with Erika Lust, performers, and intimacy coordinators, as well as Popo Fan’s perspective as a queer Asian filmmaker.
Audience members are warmly invited to participate and share their own thoughts and experiences. Possible topics include consent, creative autonomy, intimacy coordination, queer representation, and the aesthetics and politics of explicit cinema.
